Trip to Kentucky

We have been out of town for the past week on a trip to Kentucky. It was a great time with family. Our first stop was in Lexington for a family wedding. While we were there we had to take the time to go see some great and expensive race horses.

This is Tiznow. He won the breeder's cup twice in a row and is now worth several million dollars. He now lives in the stud barn at a beautiful horse farm and if you desire for him to be the Dad of your horse it will cost you over $200,000. Grace really like that his toes were nice and shiny. The girl loves anyone with painted toe nails.

After swimming with the cousins at the pool we got all dressed up and headed to the wedding. It was an outdoor wedding at a horse park. We were afraid it was going to rain, but all we got was a little wind which doesn't faze these Wyoming kids.

After the wedding the kids all got carrots and had a great time feeding the horses. The kids with Will are two of his cousins that they had a blast playing with all weekend.

The reason Grace doesn't have her carrot anymore is she decided to just throw the entire thing at the horse instead of holding it for him.

While Will was having a great time dancing Grace and I got a moment to pose for a picture.

The next day we headed to the Kentucky Horse Park for a few shows, pony rides and lots of horses to pet. We went with cousins Andrew and Olivia. It was a lot of fun.

Both kids got to go on a pony ride. They loved it and here Will is headed around the track with his cousin Andrew. They loved riding the ponies, but I think the part they enjoyed the most was when one of the horses had to take a break and relieve itself. They thought that was hilarious!!!

After the wedding we headed down the road a few hours to Mammoth Cave National Park and a local dinosaur park. Here Grandma and Will are pretending to be dinosaurs.

Here is Grace with another worm. I am not sure about this girl and her love for worms.

We are back home now and just finished enjoying a great weekend with my brother and sister-in-law celebrating birthdays. I do think you should all know this is my final blog as a person in her 20's and as of tomorrow I will join the 30 club. Hopefully that means from now on my blogs will be filled with maturity and wisdom.
