Christmas Fun

It has been a long time since I have done a blog and I am sorry for that. We have had crazy couple of weeks. Will got strep throat and scarlet fever a couple of weeks ago and then right when he started feeling better my Grandmother passed away and we headed to Kentucky for the funeral. So this week we have tried to get in the Christmas spirit and back in the swing of things.
Thursday was Will's school Christmas party and we had a birthday party for Jesus.
The fun began with decorating ginger bread houses. We cheated a little bit and used graham crackers and put them together with hot glue, but the kids still thought it was a lot of fun!
Grace thinks she is one of the big kids and got her own house to decorate.

Will was very focused and wanted to make sure his house was just perfect.

Next the kids all gathered around and we read the book "The first Christmas present".

The Mom that planned the party has this great idea to wrap up a little baby Jesus and put them under the Christmas tree. In the box is a large red heart and a note that says "The greatest gift at Christmas is Jesus. And the best gift you can give Him is your heart."

The party was a lot of fun and it was also wonderful to see in all the fun the kids were still reminded of what this time of year is really all about!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!!!!
