Merry Christmas (a little late)

We hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and got to enjoy some rest and time with family and friends. Christmas for us did not go quite as we had hoped and planned, but we still had a wonderful time. We had hoped that William would fly home on Christmas morning, but that did not happen because of a broken airplane. My brother thought it was completely ironic that William is in the air force and they could not get a plane to Greenland to pick them up, but that is just how it goes when you live above the arctic circle.
We enjoyed Christmas with my parents, brother and sister-in-law on the 26th and then finally on the 27th we headed to pick Daddy up at the airport.
Since William wasn't able to be here on Christmas morning to see the kids in their new Christmas pajamas the kids wore them to the airport! They waited with great excitement at the top of the escalator with poster in hand.
He's HOME!!

After a few days at home we headed to the beach for a few days. It was a great time of rest, football and family fun.
A couple of days it was a little chilly, but we bundled up and still had a great time.

After going to the beach we headed to Louisiana for a few days to look at schools and houses. It was a busy trip and we learned a lot about the area. We were so busy we didn't even take any pictures while we were there.

A few days after we got home we headed to the hospital to meet our new nephew/cousin Cole. He is such a sweet little guy and the kids are thrilled to be BIG cousins now. They both wanted to hold him and kiss him.
William has headed back to Greenland now and I am still walking around a little lost. It usually takes me about a week to get back in the swing of things. We are all doing well and excited about all that is to come over the next few months while we are here!
