Arctic Wildlife

These pictures are for my kids, who constantly ask for pictures of the local wildlife. I must confess that I did not take these pictures, but rather got them from a friend. I have seen each of these animals, but I almost never have my camera ready, nor would it take such good pictures. I hope you kids enjoy these, and please know I hear your request for a picture of a polar bear, but I don't know that I really want to run across one.

Arctic hares. These pictures do not do justice to their enormous size, which I imagine is key to their survival here in Greenland.

Arctic Foxes. These guys are everywhere. We call them "Archies."
